FAQs

Will there be tournaments?

Strata believes in maximizing opportunity and getting the most use out of our time together. Rather than hosting or playing in tournaments, we expect a commitment of 2 days per week for each athlete for the duration of their season. These sessions will include both skill development and in-house competitions. This structure allows for every athlete to be guaranteed meaningful repetitions and playing time in order to optimize development.

Why do you play so much 3v3?

Strata athletes will play a lot of 3v3. Small-sided games increase engagement by allowing athletes to get more reps, more touches, less “teaching”, and more learning - and 3v3 gives athletes more space to confidently practice their skills.

Will Strata teams ever compete against non-Strata teams?

Not this season, but maybe in the future.

How will my child’s Skills Session and Competition Day film be used?

Strata Athletics uses video footage for internal purposes such as: teaching (both during and after sessions), data analysis, coaches training, and curriculum assessment.

What is Strata’s refund policy?

As a non-profit organization, we have a very clear no refund policy — unless an athlete is no longer able to participate due to an injury or an emergency. All of the money we raise for programs & clinics goes straight back into impacting athletes!
